I have enjoyed doing Bright Young Sparks. We learn how to create a business doing something we like, that will make money. I chose to do mine to raise money for Giving Africa. Since my Daddy (Christopher Dadd) is a trustee for them; I have seen the photos and videos of the school they built in Burkina Faso. They feed and sponsor children’s education. If they leave school with a good education they should be able to build their own business, maybe making things.
I chose to personalise wooden pencil boxes as they are useful for school. Wood is a popular thing for handicrafts in Africa.
I carve the boxes with a Dremel engraver with help from Daddy. Daddy also helped me build this website.
My business should make about 20% profit to go to Giving Africa if I sell my products at the original prices.
